They will lead you into temptation, but don’t worry…because it’s a healthy temptation! And it’s just grapes, almonds and chocolate blended together. Set out something to clean up, because this is a finger-licking recipe.

We advise you to prepare these little snacks using El Ciruelo’s candied white grapes, although any grapes are fine for these very special delicacies that will always delight your guests.

Ingredients:

– A pair of Grupo El Ciruelo grapes

– 100 g sugar

– 1 cup of water

– Crispy almonds

– 200 g chocolate

*Crispy almond is a recipe based on toasted and crunchy almonds that you can make yourself at home. It can also be found in supermarkets.

In case you want to make this recipe much healthier, you can choose pure chocolate with more than 85% cocoa and another nut such as pistachio, peanut or hazelnut.

Preparation:

1st. Clean the grapes and carefully dry them.

2nd. On a tray, place one of the grape bunches, separating the grapes and spreading them out over the surface to avoid overcrowding. Then put them in the freezer until they are completely frozen.

3rd. At the same time, we boil the water with the sugar until it forms a thick syrup.

4th. Prick the grapes using toothpicks and soak them well in the syrup before dipping them in the crispy almonds. Place the grapes on the oven tray and bake for 5 minutes at 100º C (212 °F). Then let them cool in the fridge before serving.

Let the chocolate melt in a bain-marie and remove the frozen grapes. Prick each one as before, dip them in the chocolate and leave to cool on wax paper. They will soon harden, but they should also be stored in the fridge.

Our tip: dipping the grapes in the crispy almonds will make them even crunchier.
