Making the salad tasty and nutritionally complete is important, but it is also important to make it look attractive. You may have heard that we want to eat more than actually we can, therefore a good presentation and colour harmony is essential when it comes to creating the perfect salad.
We must mix the green of the vegetable base to other colours, such as tomatoes or peppers; red, carrots; orange, cabbage or onions; purple, and in fact, any fruit, vegetable or any other kind of healthy food that can provide an extra colour and which matches perfectly with the dish.
As well as combining colours, it is also worth choosing the right combination of textures for your salad. It is always recommended to add something crunchy to the salad, such as nuts or fruit that provides this texture, such as diced apple. These crunchy ingredients go perfectly with other softer ingredients to create a perfect texture for your palate.
We have already mentioned that grapes give a fruity touch to both sweet and salty dishes. This time, grapes are the main ingredient in a sweet salad suitable as a snack or for dessert which, if served chilled, becomes the perfect choice for a hot spring or summer day.
- 500 gr seedless El Ciruelo white and red grapes
- 1 cup Greek yogurt
- 1/2 cup cream cheese
- 1 tsp vanilla
- Brown sugar
- Toasted walnuts
Let’s do it!
Mix the white and red grapes in a bowl or salad bowl and add the Greek yogurt with a bit of honey for sweetening.
Next add the cream cheese along a vanilla teaspoon and mix thoroughly with the grapes.
Finally, place it in the refrigerator to chill and, before serving, add a little brown sugar as well as the toasted walnuts.
